Everything LesterMark does
LesterMark bookmarks the thing itself — wherever it actually lives — so you can find it, search it, and open it straight back to its source. No copying, no moving files, no separate folder structure.
Mac — Capturing
⌃⌘C captures whatever is frontmost.
LesterMark detects the active app and captures the right thing from it — no choosing, no dialog. 20+ source types supported:
Files & Documents
Notes & Writing
Reading & Highlights
Media & Places
Web & Email
Mac — Keyboard shortcuts
One hand. Every action.
Shared Spaces & Chat
Collaborate in real time. Talk while you work.
Create a Shared Space and invite others with a simple link. Everyone in the Space sees the same bookmarks, can capture into it, and stays in sync over iCloud — changes arrive within seconds on every device.
Every Shared Space has its own Chat thread: a live, iMessage-style conversation between all members. Messages are stored as bookmarks in the Space’s own CloudKit storage — they sync with the same reliability and speed as everything else.
Chat thread
Per-Space conversation visible to all members. Send messages, react, follow along — without leaving LesterMark.
Push notifications
New messages arrive as banner notifications when you’re not in the app — on Mac (System Notifications) and iPhone/iPad.
Read receipts
“Seen by…” shows who has read each message. Read position updates automatically when you open Chat.
Instant sync
Captures and messages appear on all devices within seconds. No polling, no refresh button.
Unread badge
A red badge on the chat icon counts unread messages. Clears automatically when you open Chat.
Display name
Set your name once in Settings → Your Name. It appears beside your messages and your captures across all Shared Spaces.
Finding & viewing
Multiple views. One search across everything.
Relations & Links
Connect any two bookmarks with a typed relation.
Paste Link (⌃⌘V) inserts a lestermark:// link into your current note and records the relation between the two bookmarks simultaneously. Show Relations (⌃⌘R) shows all in-links and out-links for the active note in a floating panel.
Relation types: Reference, Supports, Contradicts, Part of, Mentions — and more. Relations are searchable and browsable.
iPhone & iPad
